One sec, he's about to puke.
Darnit... I failed to even get him out of the room to his. Did a flying vomit thing. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee......
*mumbles and continues* So the other night I set up the pen and put both guinea pigs in it. Tip didn't even realize the pigs were in it, he just leapt in, and then with surprise saw they were in there too. He seemed a bit freaked, but since they didn't attack him, he laid down and watched them for a while. Then he began to stare blankly forward in what I think was content and quiet contemplation. The pigs were a bit intimidated of him, after a while they relaxed some and went into a hay frenzy as I tried feeding them both hay as quick as I can (because when you feed one, the other has finished theirs and wants to eat the tip of the hay from the other piggy). They were getting kind of tired and I was finishing up hand-feeding them, and held up a piece of straw. "Who wants it? Anyone?" And to my surprise, suddenly Tip had gotten up and was eating it. He loves hay. I think he sometimes is jealous when we feed the pigs hay and not him. It helps his digestive system, and he was also born around hay.
So I'm not surprised when after he eats hay, he pukes. At least it's helping him digest. He has really long fur, and even though I brush it, he still manages to lick a bunch of long fur off of himself. So kitty's cuckoo for hay. He's become our third guinea pig. In the 12 years I've known him, he's never been the hunt-and-eat type. He's grown up around a various of animals, and the most he ever did with small animals like house mice was to play harmlessly with them. That's why I trust him with our rodents, but we always watch him and the piggies or rat when they're out.
He's more scared of the rat. Capn's quick and can be pretty energetic, but the guineas are pretty calm, so he doesn't seem to mind them. Can't help but wonder if he thinks they're kittens.
And an announcement:
We have guinea pigs! Obviously. :P
Mine's a mostly white guinea pig with brown ears and pinkish red eyes, named Sir Dominique, and Rob's has a coloring like a calico, with white, black, and butterscotch/caramel, and he named him Pablo.
